Mollusk is a family run surf shop with ties to the music, art, and design worlds. We were tasked with rethinking Mollusk’s e-commerce packaging across product categories including clothing, surfboards, and art.
The Challenge:
Find an alternative to Tyvek shipping mailers that appropriately communicates brand ethos.
The Results:
Mailer printed on 100% recycled unbleached paper that can accommodate nearly all of Mollusk’s soft goods ecommerce orders.
Tiny Nat Russell illustrations mushrooms to communicate proper package end of life instructions.

SWAY SEAWEED PACKAGING
Sway is a biomaterials company based in the San Francisco Bay Area focused on bringing seaweed based alternatives to plastic into production. Sway tapped Guacamole Airplane for assistance designing and prototyping early proofs of concept with some of their first rolls of seaweed film.
Clean ocean designs
Clean Ocean Designs manufactures low impact products for ocean and outdoor sports. They approached Guacamole Airplane to develop a packaging suite and do some light branding work around the launch of their flagship product, the Mariner Mat, a changing mat for after surfing made from compression molded algae foam.
