What we like about Evoware: Evoware is an Indonesian supplier that harvest seaweed into a semi-transparent flexible film. The material is heat sealable and dissolves instantly in hot water. Good examples of evoware film include sachets of flavoring that can drop into hot soup and dissolve, package and all.

Seaweed Film

Translucent with some coloring (either green, orange, or light red).
Texture is more akin to a fruit leather than traditional plastic.
Seaweed is harvested in Indonesia and then cast and dried without any fossil fuel based additives.
Material is Halal certified food safe, You can eat it, although we wouldn’t recommend the taste :)
Fascinating material, and a good option for short run items than can be heat sealed. For larger runs it does not run on traditional plastic film equipments.
