What we like about Rypax: From an energy and water persepctive Rypax’s facilities are as good as it gets for molded fiber, the China plant uses 100% renewable energy, has strong water recycling initiatives on site, and can source FSC certified pulp along with a range of tree free fibers including bamboo and bagasse.

Pulp Trays

Different textures depending on source fibers and type of processing. Bamboo and bagasse blends of fiber feel softer to the touch that molded fiber made from recycled cardboard.
Generally molded fiber carriers a high carbon and water footprint. However Rypax’s is generally a best practice supplier for the material.
Molded fiber is recyclable with paper and compostable. Recycling is recommended unless the packaging is serving as a vessel to deliver nutrient rich food waste into the compost stream.
Can be embossed, debased, and pulp can be dyed.
