What we like about Vidrala: The furnace in Vidrala’s Portuguese plant is partly powered by renewable energy.

Glass bottles and jars

  • Glass bottles and jars are relatively thick and less prone to breakage. This makes them heavy to ship, but they’re reusable and refillable.

  • Glass is endlessly recyclable. It's easy to reuse and refill for years and years, the only risk is breakage.

Glass weighs more than other materials which can increase shipping emissions.

  • Glass is endlessly recyclable and widely accepted for curbside recycling. Because glass can last a long time without degradation, it’s commonly used for refill programs.

Lids made from plastic or cork should be disposed with trash.

  • Glass can come in various colors and opacities. Consider your product's requirements for UV exposure to determine if you need tinted or opaque glass. Glass can be customized with direct printing or printed labels.
