What we like about Mohawk: Mohawk's Renewal line in a high quality paper available in either hemp waste, straw waste, or recycled cotton from old t-shirts and blue jeans.

Sustainable Paper Collection

Made from hemp waste, straw waste, or recycled cotton.

  • These papers are available in various rich colors with interesting visual textures.

  • While most paper is made from trees, farming new trees for paper can require its own crop of new carbon emissions while clearing forests and the ecosystems within them.

Mohawk’s Renewal line relies solely on waste from the straw, hemp, and clothing industries. Mohawk can rely on existing supply chains instead of clearing new trees.

Paper is lightweight in shipping and can be engineered for structural stability with flat pack shipping.

  • The best afterlife for most paper products — from collateral to boxes — is recycling. Most paper fibers can be recycled more than five times. Paper with tape or stickers can still be recycled, because non-paper materials are sifted out in the recycling process.

  • Mohawk Renewal offers three renewable fibers in seven colors with two finishes. All Mohawk Renewal papers are compatible with both digital and offset presses and are also available in A2 and A7 envelopes.

Consider how your ink color will appear on the paper. Darker color papers will limit the ink colors that will be readable. Printed designs will take on the finish of the paper. For a shiny finish, you’ll need to inquire about added coatings. Coatings may also be necessary if your packaging needs extra water resistance.
