UPM offers a variety of sustainable film, paper face, and liner solutions, including SmartChoice™ PCR labels, SmartCircle™ wash-off labels, Ocean Action labels made from ocean bound plastic, and Forest Film™ made from recovered wood pulp. Vanish™ PCR ultra-clear label materials use less raw materials compared to other PET products. Direct Thermal Linerless labels are FSC certified, use 40% less paper than comparable pressure-sensitive label materials, and lack additional liner waste handling costs.
Label Life provides label-specific LCA services.

Some labels are recyclable in the paper stream, or can be washed off. RafCycle service arranges label release liner waste recycling.
