What we like about FKUR: Plant based polyethylene, chemically identical to traditional plastics, but sourced from plant based materials. Not a perfect, but a pragmatic material, provided the enviromental impact of farming the raw material for plastic does not negate carbon emission savings from fossil fuel production.

PE Pellets

Looks and feels just like traditional PE plastics, as they are chemically identical.
Lower carbon footprint than PE plastics sourced from fossil fuels.
Can be recycled with traditional plastics.
An interesting stop-gap or drop-in solution to lower carbon footprint without rethinking the supply chain. Certainly far from ideal.
